As it comes to the end of the season we would like to thank all of our sponsors and we will be doing another round of fundraising in the summer before next season starts. One of the main sponsors of this site have reached out to us as they have released a new product in their teeth whitening kits range. Bright Whites offer teeth whitening strips, kits and related supplies in Ireland. There are two main ways to whiten your teeth and that is by teeth whitening kit or the better know teeth whitening strips. So what is the difference and which one is better?
Teeth whitening strips are soft plastic sheets that have peroxide on them that whitens the tooth safely. You apply these strips for approx. 30 minutes each night for 7 – 14 days. You can apply them to the bottom or top teeth and they are considered to be very effective. By the end of the 14 days your teeth should be noticeably whiter however sometimes people do not respond well to this treatment. It is important to note that teeth whitening strips are not a replacement for mouth hygiene and your teeth should still be brushed twice per day.
Teeth Whitening Kits are trays of gel that are fitted also with peroxide solution. The mouthpiece is then warn for approx. 30 minutes or more or less depending on the strength of the gel. They are very similar to strips although the tray is obviously more intrusive for the user although they do provide a sturdy way of applying the peroxide.
We highly recommend using either and it is just a matter of what you would prefer to use. For most people having the strips in their mouth is much easier than a tray and the results are largely the same.
