Thrilled that the Ireland U17 Women’s team got to the UEFA final and disappointed for them that they were beaten, just, in the penalty shoot out. Great to get that far though, and congratulations to all involved. They can do it in 2011 I am sure. Well done. BG

Hi,

I have only recently learned of this fantastic grant that is available and would suit a small struggling sportsclub like ours.
Is there any chance of submitting a late application?

Many Thnaks,

Alison Kelly

I'm an acquaintance of Ronnie and like so many others I'm happy to watch this footage time and time again.
I believe we don't praise our sporting heroes (past and present) enough.

I know Ron personally myself and his achievement in 1956 was brilliant. Amazingly 1t was Michael Carruth who won our next Olympic gold 36 years later in 1992 and that was probably Ireland's last proper Olympic gold medal. Sounds like an interesting event

Like Bernard I was never more proud to be a Dubliner involved in sport although now it is more as a spectator with my two teenagers. I have no fears for the future of Dublin Sport when I see the committed organizations and the talent they have to work with.
